Public Sector
Whether it’s communicating with the public or with staff, it needs to be done both efficiently and effectively. Our increasing client list within the public sector shows the growing understanding that video can cut cost yet improve communications.
Information Commissioner's Office
The brief: We were asked to record a conference in central London with a “Question Time” scenario, hosted by Jonathan Dimbleby and including guests such as Jack Straw MP.
Our solution: The client had a limited budget so instead of live camera mixing through
an external “scanner vehicle” as we would do for a broadcast, we recorded the event
through three discrete cameras and edited the production together back at base. The
final result gave a seamless multi-
Walsall Council
The brief: We were asked to create media that would stimulate discussion in a training environment on the subject of management training.
Our solution: Since most of the facts and information were to be given out in the actual training room sessions, we created comedy sketches on each of the various subjects that acted as “curtain raisers” to the discussion. By doing this, we ensured that viewers got drawn into the challenges and problems of council management.
We featured a cast of experienced TV comedians.
HM Prison
The brief: Bakermedia was commissioned by HM Prison service to produce an induction video to inform new prisoners of their rights, particularly when it came to racial harassment.
Our solution: Filming in three prisons around the UK, we incorporated dramatic sequences as well as interviews with prisoners and prison management to create a video that could be understood even by new prisoners who had limited education or had English as their second language.
Other public sector projects produced by Bakermedia include Stockport Council, Worcestershire County Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, the NHS and Oldham Council.
